We are expecting our first child.  Can we set up a visit to meet one of the doctors?

Congratulations!  You are embarking upon a very exciting journey. We hope to be able to share in the experience and provide you with guidance, support and expertise in raising a child.  We schedule complimentary prenatal visits as a way of allowing you to visit our office, meet one of the physicians and get your questions answered.  Additionally, these visits provide an opportunity for us to learn about your family, your expectations and concerns, and your health history.  Typically these visits are schedule on Saturday and Sunday in the early afternoon.  Please call our office to schedule a visit.

What hospital are you affiliated with?

All of our physicians have admitting privileges at Yale-New Haven Hospital

How often do we need to bring our newborn in for check-ups?

Routine PHYSICAL EXAMS are a fundamental part of ensuring your child’s ongoing health and well-being.  We typically see newborns for a weight check approximately 2 days after discharge from the hospital.  Our regular well visits are then scheduled at the following ages:
2 weeks
6 weeks
10 weeks
4 months
6 months
9 months
1 year
For the second year of life, we typically see patients at 15 months and 18 months.  Starting at age 2 we see our patients once a year for PHYSICAL EXAMS.

I would like to schedule a PHYSICAL EXAM. Do I have a choice of doctors? Do I need a primary doctor for my child?
We operate as a group.  When you are making appointments you have the flexibility to schedule your visits with whichever doctor you prefer for that visit.  Availability can vary by physician and time of year, so we prefer that you schedule these visits as far ahead as possible to ensure that your preferences can be met.  We do not ‘assign’ you to a primary doctor, though many patients choose to see the same physician for all of their physical exams.

My child is sick.  Will I be able to get an appointment for her today?
We are committed to being able to see ANY family that calls for an appointment for an acute illness on the same day. We will not tell you that ‘we are full for today’ though you may need to be seen in location other than your primary office.
