Our physicians are all Board Certified in Pediatrics, hold Clinical Teaching Appointments at the Yale University School of Medicine, and Admitting Privileges at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Dr. Edward Gleich has been practicing pediatrics on the shoreline Since 1977 and is the founder of Shoreline Pediatrics. Dr. Gleich grew up in northern New Jersey and attended undergraduate school at the University of New Hampshire. He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1973 and went on to complete a residency in pediatrics at the University of Florida. Dr. Gleich spent two additional years of specialized training in newborn medicine at Yale. He is married and has three children, and has recently had the distinction of becoming a grandfather. He enjoys gardening, baseball and baking.

Dr. Bruce Freeman joined Shoreline Pediatrics in 1996. He was raised in Manhattan with two sisters and a brother. He attended undergraduate school at Cornell University, earning his degree in Psychology. Dr. Freeman earned his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and completed his pediatric training at Yale New Haven Hospital. During his education and training, he spent time at University College of London, the Indian Health Service in Wyoming, and a hospital in Tanzania. Bruce is married and has three boys. He is passionate about golf, baseball, editing home movies and reading.![]()

Dr. Eileen Lawrence joined Shoreline Pediatrics in 1998. She is the youngest of four sisters. She grew up just down the road in East Lyme and attended East Lyme High. She completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard University where she was a member of the field hockey, lacrosse and water polo teams. Dr. Lawrence earned her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and concluded her pediatric training at Yale New Haven Hospital. Eileen, her husband and two children reside in Killingworth. She is an accomplished runner and triathlete. She also enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, and golf.![]()

Dr. Erin Springhorn joined Shoreline Pediatrics in 1999. She is a transplanted native of Ohio who attended college at Brown University. There, she was a member of the 1986 national championship sailing team. She earned her medical degree from the Ohio State University School of Medicine before returning to the east coast to finish her pediatric training at Yale Children’s Hospital. While in New Haven, Dr. Springhorn served with distinction as Chief Resident in Pediatrics. Erin lives in Guilford with her husband Jeremy, and three children. For relaxation she enjoys sailing, hiking and cooking.

Dr. Karen Goldberg joined Shoreline Pediatrics in 2000. Dr. Goldberg was born in Santiago, Chile and emigrated to the United States with her family at the age of two. Karen spent her formative years growing up in Larchmont, New York. She attended college at Cornell University where she majored in psychology and earned her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric training at the Yale Children’s Hospital, serving with distinction as Chief Resident in Pediatrics. She is married and has three children. She and her husband enjoy hiking, camping and biking.

Dr. Lisa Pavlovic joined Shoreline Pediatrics in 2006. Dr. Pavlovic is a native of Westport. She attended the Eastern Virginia Medical College where she earned her M.D. degree before completing her pediatric residency at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia. Since residency, Dr. Pavlovic has practiced at The Naval Hospital at Portsmouth, Virginia, Okinawa, Japan, and the Child Protection Center at University of Massachusetts. Starting in 2009, she has been working part-time with the Child Abuse Team at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital in addition to 1-2 days per week with Shoreline Pediatrics. She resides in Madison with her husband and three children. She enjoys skiing, hiking and biking with her friends and family.
